Spokane Clock Tower

Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
9"x12"
$110.00

Riverfront park in Spokane, Washington is another of our favorite places to visit. This clock tower was part of the Great Northern Railroad depot built around 1900. In 1974 the world's fair was held here and the depot was torn down. Now only the clock tower remains. The clock is wound by hand once a week. I loved how this painting turned out. The red-orange of the fall trees ties together the red roof, and both of these compliment the blue sky and river. I really like painting water. All the color in the reflection gives it alot of life.

A Painting A Day by Diana Marshall said...

lovely reflections Cheryl! I see you are into landscapes at the moment. It makes a change from still life painting which has different challenges. You must have had some great vacations!
