I picked these in the morning when it was cool out and sketched them in to paint and then they opened up. They are huge! I had to change my drawing, now they almost look to big for the vase. Anyway, they are so vibrant. The weather turned windy and rainy and blew the rest of them off my bush, so at least I still have these to look at.

That's so sad that the wind swept away the rest of your peonies. They are one of my favorite flowers. We were gone this year most of the time ours were blooming and missed them. So I'm enjoying your painting of them.

They are some of my favorite too. I have two more pink bushes that haven't opened up yet. I hope they last longer!
