This is the biggest painting I've ever done. It's another picture from one of our fall bike rides along the Trail of the Coeur 'd Alenes.

Rose Teacup

These dainty teacups are so pretty. I've hesitated to paint them. I didn't know if I could do them justice. Painting this from more of a top view instead of a side view was a good exercise. I wasn't sure what color to do the background, I wanted it neutral so it wouldn't detract from the cup. I like how it turned out.

This is a view of Mt. Hood from the Sandy River on the Timberline trail. Yes, the mountain really was that orange, even the snow on top. The shadows on the cliff were fun to paint.

When we visited my sister at Christmas, she had recently gotten two of the cutest kittens. This is a beautiful roly-poly, shy little calico. I haven't painted very many animals so this was good practice for me.
